I qualified as a Montessori practitioner in 1988 and went on to open my first school, in Barnes, in 1989, having been driven by a love of children and a passion for early years education.  I have been teaching now for almost 25 years and still wake up every morning looking forward to going to school!

My love of education has also extended to my own personal development and I have trained to become a Chartered Baby Massage Instructor and Holistic Therapist, as well as completing training in Sign Language for Babies and Children and am an Early Language Lead Practitioner in the ECaT programme.

During my time as a teacher I have also taken time to study for a City and Guilds in Creative Design and Soft Furnishings at Guildhall University.

I have two children, a son and a daughter, both now grown and enjoying very successful careers of their own.  I am proud to say that teaching is my life and I wouldn’t do anything else!

Miss Kitty

Miss Kitty

Hello, my name is Miss Kitty and I am happy to be joining The Little School this term. I am a qualified Montessori Early Years Practitioner, having studied for my qualification at Montessori Centre International in London.

I am presently studying for my Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification, as well as learning Holiday French at evening classes.

I love baking and I have an NVQ level 3 in Patisserie and Confectionary, as I have a great love of baking and I bake cakes from home to supply to a Restaurant in Teddington.

I live in East Sheen where I have an allotment close to Richmond Park where I grow fruit and vegetables and I spend a lot of time outside, cycling and walking our family dog, Archie.

Miss Nabeela

Miss Nabeela

Hi, my name is Mrs Nabeela Jabeen! Before starting at the Little School, I previously worked in a preschool for three and a half years and as a supply teacher. Prior to that, I qualified as a science graduate and taught for many years in both nursery and primary schools in my home country of Pakistan. I have such a passion for teaching kids as I've got three teenagers of my own and also my youngest daughter who is in year 7 - it means I'm a busy mum who’s always around kids which suits me perfectly!

I simply find it so interesting to teach children as they begin their education - their innate creative, adventurous and curious nature continues to fuel my interest in teaching.

When I'm not teaching or running after the kids, I love to get messy with paints and I love to read - all with a yummy mug of tea!
